Installing the PWA as an app provides several benefits:

Android Installation
Method 1: Chrome Browser (Recommended)
Open Chrome on your Android device
Visit

- A banner will appear at the bottom: "Add Netasampark to Home screen"
- Tap "Install" or "Add"
Alternative Method (if prompt doesn't appear):
- Tap the three dots (⋮) in the top-right corner
- Select "Install App" or "Add to Home screen"
- Confirm the installation
Launch the App
- Find the Netasampark icon on your home screen
- Tap to open
Method 2: Samsung Internet
- Open Samsung Internet browser
- Visit

- Select "Add page to" → "Home screen"
- Confirm and launch from home screen
Verification
After installation, you should see:
- App icon on home screen
- Splash screen when launching
- Full screen mode (no browser address bar)
- Smooth navigation with gestures
iOS Installation
Safari Browser (Required)
IMPORTANT
On iOS, you must use Safari browser. Chrome and other browsers don't support PWA installation on iOS.
Step-by-Step Guide
Open Safari on your iPhone or iPad
Visit
https://app.netasampark.comTap Share Button (□↑)
- Located at the bottom center (iPhone)
- Or top-right (iPad)
Scroll Down and tap "Add to Home Screen"
- You'll see the app icon and name
- Edit the name if desired (optional)
Tap "Add" in the top-right corner
Launch the App
- Find Netasampark icon on your home screen
- Tap to open
iOS Verification
You'll know it's properly installed when:
- Icon appears on home screen
- Opens in full screen (no Safari UI)
- Splash screen displays briefly
- Status bar matches app theme
First Launch Setup
After installing, complete these initial steps:
1. Grant Permissions
The app will request several permissions:
Notifications (Recommended)
- Tap "Allow" to receive updates
- Get alerts for new messages
- Grievance status updates
- Campaign notifications
Location (Optional)
- Enable for field operations
- Required for door-to-door tracking
- Used for booth management
- Can be enabled later in settings
Camera (Optional)
- Enable for QR code scanning
- Voter photo capture
- Event attendance
- Can be enabled when needed
2. Login
- Enter your email address
- Enter your password
- Tap "Sign In"
FIRST TIME?
If you don't have credentials yet, contact your administrator or email support@netasampark.com
3. Complete Profile
After first login, you'll be prompted to:
- Upload profile photo
- Verify phone number
- Set notification preferences
- Choose language (English/Hindi)
4. Enable Offline Mode
For the best offline experience:
- Stay connected for 2-3 minutes after login
- App will download essential data
- "Offline Ready" message will appear
- You can now use app without internet!
Troubleshooting Installation
Install Option Not Showing (Android)
Solution 1: Check Browser
- Use Chrome or Samsung Internet
- Update browser to latest version
Solution 2: Clear Cache
- Open Settings → Apps → Chrome
- Tap Storage → Clear Cache
- Retry installation
Solution 3: Enable Installation
- Go to Chrome Settings
- Search for "Install apps"
- Ensure "Install apps" is enabled
Install Option Not Showing (iOS)
Solution 1: Use Safari
- Other browsers (Chrome, Firefox) won't work
- Must use Safari on iOS
Solution 2: Check iOS Version
- iOS 13.0 or higher required
- Update iOS if needed: Settings → General → Software Update
Solution 3: Website Compatibility
- Ensure you're on

App Not Opening After Install
Android:
- Long-press app icon
- Tap "App info"
- Check if sufficient storage available
- Try "Force stop" then reopen
iOS:
- Delete app from home screen
- Clear Safari cache (Settings → Safari → Clear History)
- Reinstall following steps above
Login Issues After Install
- Check internet connection
- Verify credentials are correct
- Try password reset if needed
- Contact support if problem persists
Update the App
How Updates Work
The PWA updates automatically:
- No app store updates needed
- Updates download in background
- Apply next time you open app
- Always latest version available
Force Update
If you need to force an update:
Method 1: Refresh
- Pull down from top of app
- Release to refresh
Method 2: Restart
- Close app completely
- Reopen after 10 seconds
Method 3: Clear Cache
- Go to Settings → About
- Tap "Clear Cache"
- App will reload with updates
Uninstall the App
Android
Method 1: Long Press
- Long-press app icon on home screen
- Tap "Uninstall" or drag to trash
- Confirm uninstallation
Method 2: Settings
- Settings → Apps → Netasampark
- Tap "Uninstall"
- Confirm
iOS
- Long-press app icon until it jiggles
- Tap the "X" or "-" button
- Tap "Delete" to confirm
DATA RETENTION
Uninstalling only removes the app. Your account data remains safe on our servers. Reinstall anytime to access your data.
Best Practices
Storage Management
The app caches data for offline use:
- Initial download: ~50MB
- With offline data: ~100-200MB
- Maximum usage: ~500MB
To manage storage:
- Clear cache monthly (Settings → About → Clear Cache)
- Limit offline voter records to essentials
- Remove old campaign data periodically
Battery Optimization
To maximize battery life:
- Disable background location if not needed
- Reduce notification frequency
- Use Wi-Fi instead of mobile data
- Close app when not in use
Network Usage
The app is designed to be data-efficient:
- Initial setup: ~10-20MB
- Daily usage: ~1-5MB
