Common terms and definitions used in Netasampark documentation.

A

API - Application Programming Interface. A set of protocols and tools for building software applications.

Authentication - The process of verifying the identity of a user or system.

Authorization - The process of determining what actions a user or system is allowed to perform.

Broadcast - Sending a message to multiple recipients simultaneously.

Booth - A polling booth or voting location.

C

Campaign - A coordinated series of messages or activities aimed at achieving a specific goal.

Constituency - A geographical area represented by an elected official.

Credit - A unit of currency used for sending messages and using platform features.

CSV - Comma-Separated Values. A file format for storing tabular data.

Dashboard - A visual display of key metrics and information.

Delivery Status - The status of a sent message (sent, delivered, read, failed).

Event - A scheduled activity or gathering.

Export - Downloading data from the platform in a file format.

F

Fallback - An alternative provider or method used when the primary one fails.

Field Operations - Activities conducted outside the office, such as door-to-door visits.

Geocoding - Converting addresses to geographic coordinates.

Grievance - A complaint or issue raised by a citizen.

GDPR - General Data Protection Regulation. European data protection law.

Health Check - A test to verify that a service or system is functioning correctly.

HTTPS - Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure. Encrypted HTTP protocol.

Import - Uploading data into the platform from a file.

Integration - Connecting the platform with external services or systems.

IVR - Interactive Voice Response. Automated phone system.

Journey - An automated workflow or sequence of actions.

Message Template - A pre-approved message format for business messaging.

Multi-channel - Supporting multiple communication channels (WhatsApp, SMS, Email, etc.).

NLP - Natural Language Processing. AI technology for understanding human language.

O

Offline Mode - Ability to use the application without an internet connection.

OTP - One-Time Password. A temporary password for authentication.

P

PWA - Progressive Web App. A web application that works like a native app.

Provider - A third-party service provider (e.g., Twilio, Brevo).

R

Rate Limit - A restriction on the number of requests that can be made in a given time period.

RBAC - Role-Based Access Control. A security model based on user roles.

REST API - Representational State Transfer API. A web service architecture.

Segment - A group of voters or users with common characteristics.

SLA - Service Level Agreement. A commitment to service quality.

SMS - Short Message Service. Text messaging.

Template - A pre-defined message format.

Token - A credential used for API authentication.

Uptime - The percentage of time a service is available.

Voter - A registered voter in the database.

Voter Slip - A document containing voter information.

Webhook - A callback mechanism for real-time event notifications.
